We have our first eggs! These are from the Ameraucanas. A beautiful pastel green. Now our girls can start earning their keep.

Those are the prettiest eggs I ever have seen. I’ve been trying to convince Jeff that we need chickens, but since we live in the city he doesn’t agree yet.
Hey Ruth, I didn’t want chickens for a long time and after a couple of years with a consistent, a never ending pleading of both Merriann and Zoe. I gave in and I am glad I did. So keep asking and maybe you to can get some chickens. Oh my other reason was that I wanted to learn to pluck ducks (because duck season is on the way.) Quack, Quack!! 🙂
